First Day Cover - World Post Day 2026

This first day cover is cancelled with Kuala Lumpur pictorial postmark (9 October 2026) and a Pos Malaysia's catcher (Pos Malaysia van with a hand-waving postman). Actually, the catcher was provided by Pos Malaysia for the Visit Johor Year stamp issue. However, this catcher looks more relevant for World Post Day 2026..... :) :) :)

Pos Malaysia in collaboration with APOM (A Piece of Malaysia) issued the Malaysia Day 2026 stamps (click here to view the stamp set) on 16 September 2026. Pos Malaysia provided the pictorial first day cancellation, and at the same APOM provided 15 different big catchers for stamping purpose. These 14 big catchers match well the 14 stamps (according to the 13 states and Kuala Lumpur) of Malaysia Day 2026 stamps. The other big catcher is just a main catcher (EMPAT BELAS 2026) for the 14-state catchers. These 15 big catchers were available at the APOM shop in Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad, Dataran Merdeka, Kuala Lumpur. I made use of these 15 big catchers to create 14 special FDCs for my collection. I cancelled the stamps with Kuala Lumpur pictorial first day chop (16 September 2026).

Further note:

Actually, the reprint stamp has a band on the left side of the stamp, similar to that of the original print stamp. One may have to look at it carefully (under the normal light or even the uv light) to realize the existing of the band on the reprint stamp. This band on the reprint stamp does not shine under the uv light. However, the band on the original print stamp glows under the uv light. I am not sure what kind of light source is suitable to view the band on the reprint stamp. Could infra-red light be suitable for viewing the band?
