Wilayah Day

Today (1 February 2012) is Wilayah Day for Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan - Federal Territories. So, these territories were having a day off. The first Federal Territory was Kuala Lumpur, formed in 1974. A set of two stamps (see below image) was released in 1974 to commemorate this historical event. I think the stamps are beautiful.... can you recognise those buildings in the stamps? Those were important and landmark buildings in Kuala Lumpur in those early days.

Hello.......

Hello..... I miss you.... :)

The technology of communication has advanced tremendously. I'm getting my iPhone 4 very soon. Looking back to the technology of communication, I just couldn't help not to hold back my nostalgic feeling of those communication devices in 1970s and 1980s....

Malaysia - Round Shaped Stamps

The first round shaped stamp of Malaysia is from the stamp set issued on May 15, 1971. The stamps were issued to commemorate the opening of new building of Bank Negara Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur. The stamps were printed using photogravure approach by Harrison. These stamps are very nice indeed.
