Stamp Event - PSM Stamp Market at Pejabat Pos Besar Lama KL

PSM (Philately Society of Malaysia) organized a stamp event, PSM Stamp Market, at Pejabat Pos Besar Lama KL on 23-24 May 2026. Pejabat Pos Besar Lama KL is located in the Block 2 of Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad. PSM provided two catchers and Pos Malaysia provided one catcher for the visitors to do stamping. At the same day (23 May 2026), the Minister Hannah Yeoh officially launched the revival of Pejabat Pos Besar Lama as a historical heritage at the same block of the building where the event PSM Stamp Market took place.

Special Cover - KESEF 2025

Pos Malaysia in collaboration with the Ministry of Education Malaysia come up with program Siri Jelajah Kelab Setem dan Filateli 2025 (KESEF 2025). Three programs had been realized under the Siri Jelajah KESEF 2025. The first tour program was held at SM Sains Muzaffar Syah, Ayer Keroh, Melaka (zon Selatan) on 21 May 2025; the second tour program was at SK Bunut Rendang, Kuantan, Pahang (zon Timur) on 25 June 2025; and the third one was at Kompleks Sukan MPSP Bertam, Kepala Batas, Pulau Pinang (zon Utara) on 24 September 2025. The KESEF 2025 program was wound up on an event of award ceremony during Stamp Week 2025 held at PosCODE Bangi on 13-15 November 2025. An overprint stamp was produced by Pos Malaysia for the KESEF 2025, and at the same time separate postmarks were also produced for each of the three tour program events.

I made a special cover for the three KESEF 2025 tour programs and the winding-up KESEF 2025 event using the overprint stamp, the three tour program postmarks and also the Stamp Week 2025 postmarks. I also stamped the cover with the five Cabaran postmarks available during the Stamp Week for KESEF winding program at PosCODE.

A Cover with Pejabat Surat Mati Postmark

This cover is funny because it has a postmark "PEJABAT SURAT MATI".  I tried to figure out what this PEJABAT SURAT MATI postmark means.... It looks like this mail was sent out from Muar, Johor on 20 February 1990. The mail was initially unable to be delivered due to the insufficient address - the town was missed out in the address. It should be Sungei Siput Utara (not Utara as that written on the mail). No return address was provided in the mail. Therefore, the mail was then sent to Pejabat Surat Mati, Perak on 23 February 1990. However, someone in the post office managed to figure out the address (Sungei Siput Utara). The mail was then postmarked at Ipoh on 24 February 1990, and sent out to the address at Sungei Siput Utara.

A Special Cover for Jelajah KESEF 2024

Pos Malaysia in collaboration with the Ministry of Education Malaysia come up with program Siri Jelajah Kelab Setem dan Filateli 2024 (KESEF 2024). Four tour programs have been realized under the Siri Jelajah KESEF 2024. The first tour program was held at Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri Kelantan, Kota Bahru, Kelantan (zon Pantai Timur) on 29 July 2024; the second tour program was at SMK Seri Pulai Perdana, Johor Bahru, Johor (zon Selatan) on 4 September 2024; the third one was at SMK Merbok, Merbok, Kedah (zon Utara) on 26 September 2024; and the fourth one was at SMK St. Thomas, Kuching, Sarawak (zon Sarawak) on 21 October 2024. The KESEF 2024 program was wound up on an event of award ceremony during Stamp Week 2024 held at PosCODE Bangi on 5-7 December 2024. An overprint stamp was produced by Pos Malaysia for the KESEF 2024, and at the same time separate postmarks were also produced for each of the four tour program events.

I made a special cover for the four KESEF tour programs and the winding-up KESEF 2024 event using the overprint stamp, the four tour program postmarks and also the Stamp Week 2024 postmarks.

I used 1-Malaysia stamps and 1-Malaysia first day cover to make this special cover. The cover was postmarked at PP UKM Bangi Post Office on 11.11.11 using K1 counter cancellation. 

A Cover from Australia with Special Airmail Labels

I received the below cover in 2015 sent from Bright (Victoria; Australia) on 21 January 2015. I like this cover because the postmark is clear, and more importantly it has two special airmail labels (one is small size and the other one is large size) commemorating 100 Years of Air Mail in Australia.

I have never been to China. The advancement of Chongqing (重庆) is amazing (I have been watching Youtube). I received a cover from Chongqing in 1998 when I was studying in England. I was just wondering how Chongqing looked like back in 1998.
