I like to collect stamp sheets of Malaysian modern stamps. For the past 20 years, Malaysian stamps have been printed normally in the format of small sized stamp sheets - normally 20 stamps in a sheet. I keep the stamp sheets separately in OPP plastic sleeves and seal the plastic sleeves completely. I use a soldering iron to do the sealing. I do the soldering work on a piece of ceramic tile and with the help of a metal ruler.

I have a few different sizes of OPP plastic sleeves to be used according to the stamp sheet size. Normally I do not use self-adhesive type of sleeves because I seal the stamp sheets completely.

Before putting a stamp sheet into an OPP plastic sleeve, the stamp sheet will be put (at least for overnight) in a airtight plastic container with silica gel to absorb moist from the stamp sheet. I make sure the the OPP plastic sleeve is larger than the stamp sheet so that I can trim off the extra edges with soldering iron. The soldering work is done on a ceramic tile with the help of metal ruler. I must say that the soldering work is tedious, and experience will help in the good soldering work.
