Tropicana City Mall was developed by Dijaya Corp (now known as Tropicana Corporation Berhad). The mall was opened in December 2008 as part of a mixed-use development including an office tower and serviced apartment. In January 2015, the mall and the office tower were sold to CapitaLand Malaysia Trust. In 2018, the mall was rebranded as 3 Damansara.
