2005 Bird Definitives 30 sen - 2009/3
The serial number for 30 sen bird defintive is now 2009/3........
The 30 sen stamp in the printing series 2009/3 is new in two aspects. Firstly, the stamp is unwatermarked, and secondly the gum is white (greenish/yellowish in the previous series). Another important change in this series is the new Pos Malaysia logo is being used at the top margin of the sheet.

Pos Malaysia released a set of three stamps on December 4, 2006 to commemorate the 25th World Veterans Federation Conference. The stamp set consists three denominations i.e. 30s, 50s and RM1. The 30s stamp has two different perforations - P12 and P13.5. I am not sure which one is less common.

Traditional Kites 2005 - Perf Variety
The traditional kite set issued on October 10, 2005 containing three denominations i.e. 30s, 50s and RM1. All the denominations have two types of perforation i.e. P12 and P13.5. I am not sure which ones are less common. However, I pretty sure that it took me quite some time to obtain all the perf varieties from various post offices.
Anyway, I had a quick check on the eBay listing for this stamp set on May 26, 2009. I found three listings on this stamp set:
1. 30s P13.5, 50s P12 & RM1 P13.5
2. 30s P13.5, 50s P13.5 & RM1 P12
3. 30s P13.5, 50s P12 & RM1 P12
So, the 30s P12 seems to be less common then........

The stamps have denomination 50 sen depicting three different palm species and the miniature sheet with denomination RM3 depicting two palm species. The stamp in the miniature sheet is in L-shape. I've learnt that the miniature sheet will be overprinted for Korean stamp exhibition in August 2009.

Bird Definitives of Malaysia - 2005
Pos Malaysia released a set of bird definitives on May 14, 2005 to replace the long running fruit definitives (issued in 1986). The definitive set contained eight denominations - 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 75s, RM1, RM2 and RM5. These definitive stamps were printed in the format of sheet-of-20 with inverted watermark. The Pos Malaysia logo was printed at the bottom margin of the sheet. It is understood that the format of sheet-of-20 was specially issued for collectors, and for the normal use in mail, the stamps would be printed later in format of sheet-of-100.
Up to May 2009, only five denominations of the bird definitives have been printed in sheet-of-100 (I call it as new print). The Pos Malaysia logo is printed at the top margin of the sheet. The denominations are 20s, 30s, 50s, RM1 and RM5. These new prints have upright watermark.

Revenue Stamp RM10 - Control Number
The newly issued revenue stamps are actually printed in sheet of 20. The right bottom corner margin is printed with a control number. I spotted two different fonts used in printing the control number.
Lately, I purchased two RM10 revenue stamps (right bottom corner) with consecutive control numbers (192895 and 192896). However, both the control numbers have different font types. Font type I (control number 192896) seems to be more common than font type II (control number 192895). During the purchase, I also noted that control number 192890 (I did not purchase) has font type I. My speculation of the font type II is that the sheet with control number 192895 missed the printing of control number (with font type I), and that it was later printed with control number 192895 using different machine/method.

Bird Definitive 30s - Watermark Variety
New print of bird definitive 30 sen (orginal print with inverted watermark was released on May 14, 2005) has upright watermark. However, inverted watermark on new print was recorded for series numbers 2007/4, 2007/5, 2008/3 and 2008/6. There could be other series numbers with inverted watermark have yet been reported. Anyway, I have only got inverted watermark for series numbers 2007/4 and 2008/6, and I have spare copies (block of 6 right top corner with series number) for exchange with those inverted watermark series numbers I have not yet possesed. Is anybody interested?
