WWF Stamps of Malaysia
Has Pos Malaysia issued WWF stamps? The answer is yes. Pos Malaysia issued WWF stamps in 1995 on subject of clouded leopard. This is the only WWF stamp issue from Malaysia. How I wish Pos Malaysia to issue again WWF stamps. I certainly would spend a good sum of money on this if Pos Malaysia did it.....

Some Nice Postally Used Stamps
Postally used stamps are nice to collect. If you are not too particular in getting certain countries or certain topics, you could just acquire them for free from letters. Look around the working place, and you may find them as unwanted things in the bins. Alternatively, you may ask your friends who have no interest in stamp collecting to save them for you from their letters.

Beautiful Fiji Stamps
The below Fiji stamp set is just too gorgeous, and I couldn't keep my eyes off it....

Pos Malaysia recalled the below stamps on June 17, 2011 after four days of release of these stamps (the stamps were released on June 13, 2011). The recall is due to the design on one of the stamps - the stamp showing Thankyou in a few languages. Pos Malaysia will re-issue the stamp set with most likely only change in the design of the Thankyou stamp. Pos Malaysia has not announced the date of the re-issued stamps. I feel that Pos Malaysia will not announce the release date of the re-issued stamps, but it might be released to coincide with the next stamp issue (100 Years of Aviation in Malaysia; July 7, 2011). Anything can happen.... just get ready!

I Couldn't Believe Myself......
I went to local post office to purchase new stamps (Virtues) on June 13, 2011. I only bought 10 sets of the stamps! I couldn't believe myself that I only bought 10 sets..... it was for the very first time in the past 12 years that I bought very few stamp sets for new issue. I remember I could simply buy up to 100 sets of stamps for many stamp issues a few years back! The record high number of stamp set I ever bought was the Tiger Joint Issue, of which I bought more than 1000 sets!
I sent out two first day covers to my friends from overseas using two sets of the stamps I bought. I also used one set of stamps to put on a few plain covers sent to a friend in Thailand. I put one set in my stamp album. The left over was just six sets! So, I have extra six sets of the stamps. Yes, just extra six sets only! I could use one or two sets in near future for sending letters....

2011 - Virtues
Pos Malaysia released a set of 10 stamps on June 13, 2011. The topic of the stamp set is virtues. I personally do not find these stamps are attractive. The price of a blank cover is now priced at 50 sen, an increase of 20 sen.... Harga RON97 naik 20 sen, harga gula naik 20 sen, harga sampul naik jugak 20 sen....

I went to PSM stamp fair today in MBPJ Library. The crowd was good. It was really nice to catch up with many of my fellow collector friends there. Some of the people portrayed in the photos below are regular visitors to this blog... hehe

A mother asked me for some used stamps for her 9 year-old son. Here are the stamps I'm going to give away to the 9-year old kid. I hope these free stamps would strenghten his interest in stamp collecting....
