New Pos Malaysia Logo on Brid Defintives
Pos Malaysia logo is normally printed at the margin of 100-stamp sheet of definitive stamps. To date, new Pos Malaysia logo has been applied on four bird definitive stamps, i.e. 20 sen, 30 sen , 50 sen and RM1. These stamps with attached margin printed with Pos Malaysia logo definitely look attractive.

Wow, Postally Used Stamps of Malaysia
Wow, these postally used modern stamps of Malaysia are gorgeous! It is definitive not easy to obtain nice beautiful commemorative postally used stamps nowadays. I bet some of you are salivating by looking at these beautiful pieces.

Happy Malaysia Day

Today of 46 years ago a nation named MALAYSIA was born. The newly formed Malaysia nation consisted of the Federal of Malaya, Sarawak, Sabah and Singapore. On this very important event, the postal authority of Malaysia released a set of three stamps on September 16, 1963 to commemorate the formation of Malaysia. For the very first time the word "MALAYSIA" appeared on the stamps! Since then, all the stamps issued by postal authority of Malaysia bear the country inscription MALAYSIA. For Singapore, these Malaysian stamps were used until 1965 when Singapore was separated from Malaysia to become an independent country.
For better and for worse, Malaysia has experienced 46 years of nation building which has brought back many sweet and sour memories to the people of Malaysia. Anyway, I wish all Malaysians a very happy Malaysia Day!

1-Malaysia Stamps - Perforations
The 1-Malaysia stamps issued on August 31, 2009 come in two sources - stampsheet (three types) and booklet (five types). The stamps have one elliptical perforation on vertical sides. The stamps from stampsheet and booklet have different perforations. The perforation for stamps from stampsheet is P13.75x14.25 while from booklet is P13.75x13.5. Apart from that, the watermark is also different between the stamps from stampsheet (SPM sideway) and booklet (SPM upright and SPM inverted). Therefore, the stamps from stampsheet and booklet are basically different stamps in the eyes of serious stamp collectors.
Well, the perforation varieties do not just stop there. Eventhough the perforation of the stamps from booklet is P13.75x13.5, and there are still two different formats of vertical perforation for these booklet stamps. You will observe the presence of an elliptical pinhole at the vertical side of the stamp. So, the vertical pinhole divides the ordinary small pinholes into two parts (upper and lower). If one tries to count the number of these small ordinary pinholes, one will notice that some stamps have 9-upper-10-lower small pinholes and other stamps have 10-upper-9-lower small pinholes. So, these booklet stamps have two different perforation formats (but with same perforation size).

Energy Efficient Building 50 sen - Ring Flaw
The 50 sen stamp of the Energy Efficient Building set issued on September 9, 2009 has a ring flaw. The ring flaw is in green colour located at the top right corner of the stamp. The flaw is consistently observed in some stampsheets (only one stamp in stampsheet affected). Go and check you stamps if you also posses this ring flaw!

Malaysia 2009 - Energy Efficient Buildings
Pos Malaysia released a set of three stamps on September 9, 2009. The 30 sen stamps depicts Green Energy Office (GEO) Building in Bandar Baru Bangi; the 50 sen stamp on the Low Energy Office (LEO) Building in Putrajaya; and the RM1 stamp on Diamond Building Suruhanjaya Tenaga in Putrajaya. All the three stamps have two types of perforations which can be found in a single sheet.

Maxi Card - 1-Malaysia
The below maxi card was realized by using one of the stamps from 1-Malaysia issue. The stamp shows an image of hibiscus flower, the national flower of Malaysia. The postcard depicts a hibiscus flower. The postmark used in the maxi card is a special postmark for the stamp issue from Kuala Lumpur.

Nepenthes of Malaysia - Presentation Pack and FDC
Postal authority of Malaysia issued a set of pitcher plant stamps on April 6, 1996. The first day cover and presentation pack for the stamp issue are quite nice. I'm showing them here.
The first day cover contains 4 pitcher plant stamps of 4 different species (Click here to get more information of the stamps). On the other hand, the cover has an image of Nepenthes villosa which is endemic to Mount Kinabalu and neighbouring Mount Tambuyukon, Sabah (Borneo).
The brochure inside the first day cover has a nice picture of Nepenthes lowii which is endemic to Borneo Island.

The pack inside the cover has a picture of Nepenthes ampullaria which is a wide spread species found in Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia, Singapore, Sumatra, Borneo and New Guinea.

Malaysia 2009 - The 1st Submarine of Malaysia
Pos Malaysia released a set of three stamps (one type in denomination 30 sen and two types in denomination 50 sen) on September 3, 2009 to commemorate the first submarine of Malaysia. The submarine is named as Kapal Diraja Tunku Abdul Rahman (KD TAR).

1-Malaysia Slogan Postmark on 1-Malaysia stamp
It is very nice to have 1-Malaysia slogan postmark on 1-Malaysia stamp. The 1-Malaysia stamps were released on August 31, 2009. However, all the post offices throughout the country close for business on that day. So, the machine cancellation from mail centres resumed work on September 1, 2009. I managed to get some covers with 1-Malaysia stamps cancelled by 1-Malaysia postmark on September 1, 2009.
