The latest issue (September 2013) of the magazine Malaysian Naturalist has beautiful illustrations of all the ten hornbill species occurring in Malaysia (see below images). It is really a pleasure to look at those beautiful hornbill illustrations. How I wish Pos Malaysia comes out with a stamp issue with ten stamps depicting the ten hornbill species in Malaysia, using illustration approach similar to that of Malaysian Naturalist (with plain background). I hope Pos Malaysia would not keep me dreaming...
The ten hornbill species occurring in Malaysia are rhinoceros hornbill (Buceros rhinoceros), helmeted hornbill (Rhinoplax vigil), great hornbill (Buceros bicornis), white-crowned hornbill (Aceros comatus), wrinkled hornbill (Aceros corrugatus), black hornbill (Anthracoceros malayanus), plain-pouched hornbill (Aceros subruficollis), oriental pied hornbill (Anthracoceros albirostris), bushy-crested hornbill (Anorrhinus galeritis) and wreathed hornbill (Aceros undulates).
