Stamps with Beautiful Tab

This stamp set was released in 1999. I like the format of these stamps with beautiful tab. Beautiful tab attached to stamp is a very common format used in stamps of Israel. I hope Pos Malaysia would issue more stamps with beautiful tab....

How Many Years, Actually?

Pos Malaysia released a set of three stamps on July 7, 2011 to commemorate 100 Years of Aviation in Malaysia (click here to see the stamps). So, in year 2011 Malaysian aviation is celebrating 100 years. But, hold on.... in 1997, Pos Malaysia also issued a set of three stamps entitled 50 Years of Aviation in Malaysia (see the stamp image below). The gap between 2011 and 1997 is just 14 years.... but the time gap between 50th anniversary and 100th anniversary is 50 years.... Now, I'm really really confused.....

A Great Day......

It is a great day for me today. I must thank my parents for giving me life to see this beautiful world.....

The Eight Immortals - China vs Taiwan vs Thailand

The eight immortals are the Chinese legandary saints. You may click here to read more about the eight immortals. The most famous tale of these eight immortals is how they crossed the stormy East Sea (click here to read the story). China Post, Taiwan Post and Thai Post have issued stamps to portray these eight immortals.

Hands - On Design

When you see a hand or a pair of hands, what would you think of? Would you think of "Give me a hand"? Or "Give me a hand job" (Ooops.... I'm being naughty... haha)? There are 6 billion people in the world which accounting 12 billions of hands. So, hand is one of the most abundant things in the world. Hand has been appearing on stamp design from time to time. Some of these stamp designs with hand(s) have strong messages, and I just love these hands on stamps.....

How about hands showing love and passion? Two hands joint together forming a heart shape is one of the common hand-designs giving out message of love and passion.

Hands can be used to portray competition. I would call these hands as competitive hands. Stamps of this type of hand-design are common for games and sports.

When a competitor wins a game, how the hand looks like? Yes, the below stamp is showing the winning hand!

"Give me a hand" - you might have said this to someone if you need help. Hands again can be used to show the kindness of helping. I would call these hands as helping hands....

Hands maybe used to protect something such as environment and fragile forest. So, hand is frequently used in stamp design to bring up the message of environmental protection. I call these hands as proctective hands.

Have you thought about peaceful hands? I was just wondering how the peaceful hands look like..... here you go....

"Together we stand" - yes, unity is the message. How do use hands to portray unity? The below stamps send out a strong message of unity by using hands!

Do you believe if I say hands can talk? Hands really can talk.... just look at the below stamp to see how hands talk...

Friendship hands are nice......

After seeing your friends, and time to say goodbye, you may show your friends bye-bye hands.... hehehe

Are you rich? If so, do you know how to show your richness? Ahaa... the below hand is really a wealthy hand...

Finally, I would like to wind up this write-up with a philatelic hand.... I hope you have been inspired by hands.
