Perforation and Watermark Varieties - Quails and Partridges 2001

One of the most challenging issues on collecting perforation and watermark varieties is the stamp issue of Quials and Partridges released on January 22, 2001. I still have not been able to figure out how many types of perforation and watermark for each of the three denominations. SG catalogue does not seem to be helpful as it is still in the middle of figuring out the actual number of varieties. I am listing below those perforation and watermark varieties that possessed by me (I think I have spare copies for these varieties). I am very happy to exchange with anyone for those varieties not in my collection.

in my collection (30 sen):
P13.75 sideway down watermark
P13.75 no watermark
P14.25 no watermark

in my collection (50 sen):
P13.75 sideway down watermark
P13.75 no watermark
P14.25 no watermark

in my collection (RM1):
P13.75 no watermark
P14.25 no watermark

Perforation Variety - Waterlilies 2002

The occurrence of perforation varieties in modern Malaysian stamps is tremendously frequent. I'm going to depict one weird perforation variety in the miniature sheet (MS) of waterlilies (aquatic plant issue) released on May 11, 2002. I bought a few copies of this MS during the time of release. A few years later, I played with the MS to find perforation and watermark varieties. To my surprise, these waterlily MS have weird perforation varieties (two types). The difference in perforation occurs on the horizontal perforation of the RM2 stamp in the MS. Both the varieties have P12 perforation for the RM2 stamp. At a closer look, however, one MS has slightly larger size of RM2 stamp than the other one resulting from the additional one pin hole on the larger one. The smaller RM2 has 25 pin holes on the horizontal perforation whereas the larger one has 26. I'm not sure which one is less common. Anyway, I'm delighted to be informed which one you posses.

Perforation Variety - Beads of Sarawak 2001

On Feberuary 17, 2001, Pos Malaysia released a set of four stamps on topic of Beads of Sarawak and Sabah. The stamps were printed in a format block-of-4 with 100 stamps forming a sheet. Two types of perforation were recorded - P13.5 (to be precise P13.75x13.5) and P14x14.5 (to be precise P14.25x14.75). I have got no idea which one is less common, but SG catalogue gives P13.5 a higher price.

Imperforated 30 sen IMR stamp - 2000

Pos Malaysia issued plentiful of limited edition imperforated stamps and miniature sheets in 2000. This practice had distanced many collectors from collecting Malaysian stamps. Fortunately, Pos Malaysia has kind of stopped this policy though one or two imperforated miniature sheets are still popping out each year in the recent years. One of the imperforated stamps issued in 2000 is the 30 sen IMR issue (date of issue: August 24, 2000). I acquired the imperforated stamps recently from a post office.

Four stamps (all with denomination 50 sen) and one miniature sheet (containing four stamps and also all with denomination 50 sen) were issued. These stamps and miniature sheet portray the three UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Malaysia namely Mulu Park (listed in 2000), Kinabalu Park (listed in 2000) and Historic Cities of the Straits of Malacca (listed in 2008).
